Government Might Further Lift Restrictions

According to the authorities today, the government is considering to lift further restrictions currently laid on foreign visitors to Japan. The new amendent is expected to come into effect later this autumn.

It was mentioned that the new amendment could include the following.

(1) remove maximum number of entry to Japan
(2) allow personal tours
(3) no longer require visa (but will need to be vaccinated 3 times or have negative PCR test)
