First Crab of the Season

March 30 was the first day of crab fishing in Abashiri after the long close of season when the ocean was covered with drift ice.  The first crabs caught after the drift ice is the best having fed on the bountiful phytoplanktons under the ice.  If you’re looking for tasty local marine foods, go for the ke-gani (hair crabs)!  IT’S THE BEST NOW!
