NHK Program on Abashiri and the History of Hokkaido

Tomorrow evening on NHK, the national broadcasting station, a documentary program on Hokkaido history will be aired with reference to the prison in Abashiri. Unfortunately, it isn’t a bilingual program, but if you happen to understand Japanese, it will certainly be an interesting program – learning the history of Hokkaido and the minds of the Japanese people in the Meiji era.
