Abashiri Updates

The Emergency State Declaration in Hokkaido was lifted on March 19.  As of April 2, coronavirus patients in Hokkaido adds up to 183.  No patients as of yet from Abashiri.

We still need to be extra careful and attentive in our daily activities, but thankfully it does give us back our sanity to be considerate to our friends and neighbors as well as to think about supporting the local economy. 

In line with the lifting of the Declaration, the Northern People’s Museum reopened on April 1.  Many stores and restaurants still keep their business hours shorter than usual.
