For Those Renting a Car

If you’re planning to rent a car while you’re here in Abashiri (or any place in Hokkaido), it’s time for you to make sure that your car is a 4 wheel drive (with snow tires, of course :)). Not all cars for rent are 4WD, and if you’re not used to driving in winter time in Hokkaido, it can be VERY slippery.
