Kurin-so Festival (Japanese Primrose Festival)

from 2017

This is held outside Abashiri in Tsubetsu, about an hour and a half drive from Abashiri.  If you’re renting a car, this is a must place to go 😊

Kurin-so habitats only in Japan and got its name from how it blossoms – like the “kurin” decoration on the Buddhist temples.  The Nonno Woods turns into a magical land with these pink flowers blooming everywhere during the season of mid-June to mid-July!

The Festival will be held on June 22 and 23 (Sat & Sun).  Don’t miss the outdoor concert held during the Festival!
